This April, bring your families to discover why the production of Luna by 25th Street Theatre is so special. Join 12-year-old Luna as she travels through time visiting dinosaurs, robots, childhood memories and more after building a time machine to save her mother who is frozen in time. Luna discovers that chasing the past is more painful than facing the truth. This performance explores themes of loss and bravery for young children.
Written by local playwright Danielle Roy and performed by a cast and team local to Saskatoon, Luna is a play about grief, love, and the strength it takes to move forward. Luna has been nominated for the 2023 Dorothy Lees-Blakey Theatre for Young Audiences Award, and the 2024 Saskatoon and Area Theatre Award for New Work. This will be an unforgettable performance to take your children to and your family will love discovering a world through Luna’s eyes.
Some Things Just Take Time
The catchphrase for Luna is “some things just take time” and those attending will learn that healing from loss, depression and hard times does take time. This play is recommended for all ages but is a great fit for kids in grades 2-6. The approximate runtime is one hour and during that time the audience will cheer on Luna as she learns about the strength and bravery to move forward.
You can get your tickets now for Luna and choose from three public performances at the Remai Arts Centre Backstage Stage.
