On Family Day, we participated in Nutrien Wonderhub’s Discovery Dash at Wonderhub. Our team name was Team Adventure and we were ready for an adventure. This was my first time taking part in the annual friend-raiser and I was very excited to see what it is all about. If you’ve never heard of the Discovery Dash, it is teams (of up to 6) that work together to complete tasks or activities at the activity stations. This can be done either in person at Nutrien Wonderhub or virtually on Wonderhub’s virtual content website – Wonder World. Nutrien Wonderhub describes it as “Think of this as Amazing Race meets Cranium!”

Our team consisted of four adults and two rambunctious and amazing kiddos. Each task was different; some included all of us, working as a team and others let us pick the team member to compete. We had great motivators and encouraging people on our team.

They had tasks set up all over the amazing Nutrien Wonderhub. We went from room to room which was fun for the kids! We did everything from changing tires to a scavenger hunt, to search and finds and more. The kids were able to participate in every activity and the adults had tons of fun as well.

Playing charades was fun because we all got a chance to play and guess the answers. We enjoyed sharing our acting chops with one another.

The kids had fun in the art lab. We were able to design our own logos for our team and we built a catapult. (The catapult was by far the hardest one we did. It’s safe to say we could use some lessons on catapult building!)

We had such a fun day at the Nutrien Wonderhub Discover Dash. It was our first time participating but it certainly won’t be our last. We will compete again next year. I’m sure as my son gets older, he’ll continue to be excited about trying new tasks. It will be great to watch and join in the fun. Team Adventure will be back! Discovery Dash is over for the year but make sure you join the fun next year.
