Create your own DIY Easter Egg Hunts this year! These can be a fun tradition to start with your family or a nice way to change up your Easter Hunting plans. If you want to do an Easter Egg hunt at home with your family, we’ve got some fun options for you.<\/p>\n

Easter Egg \u2018Silly Tasks\u2019 Hunt<\/h4>\n

Fill your eggs with slips of paper that get your kids to perform silly tasks. You can include things like \u2018hop like a bunny\u2019, \u2018sing your favourite rhyme\u2019 or \u2018name three things that start with the first letter of your name\u2019. Once they complete the task, they can earn an Easter treat or they can earn tickets to accumulate to trade for a bigger prize. If you have older kids, you can include more difficult tasks like \u2018name 3 countries that start with the letter C\u2019 and award a different amount of points for each task. Once they have a certain amount of points, they get a prize.<\/p>\n

Easter Egg \u2018Treasure\u2019 Hunt<\/h4>\n

This one is a bit time-consuming to customize your clues but tons of fun for all ages. If you don\u2019t have time to create your own, here\u2019s a printable treasure hunt from playpartyplan.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Easter Egg \u2018Map\u2019 Hunt<\/h4>\n

Map out your house or your backyard with the location of the hidden eggs. You could draw a simple map for the younger kids and for the older ones you could write the location in code. Some ideas would be to write the location names \u2018backward\u2019, or \u2018scramble the letters\u2019 of each location.<\/p>\n

Easter Egg \u2018Checklist\u2019 Hunt<\/h4>\n

Instead of just hunting for hidden eggs, this hunt involves finding Easter eggs combined with a scavenger hunt. Your egg-finding morning will last a little longer and you can customize a list for either inside your house or in your backyard. Include things like \u2018find 3 eggs with different designs\u2019, \u2018find three items that start with the letters E, G, and G\u2019. Create your own based on the ages of your little bunnies or use this printable checklist from amomstake.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Reverse\u2019 Easter Egg Hunt<\/h4>\n

This is a great egg hunt for older kids and one that creates lots of laughs! For this reverse egg hunt, the kids write on slips of paper, prizes they would like. For example, \u2018an extra hour to play before bedtime\u2019, \u2018FREE pass from washing dishes\u2019, then they hide the eggs and any eggs the parent doesn\u2019t find, the kids get to keep and use to redeem their prize.<\/p>\n

Easter Egg Hunt<\/h4>\n

You can keep it simple and hide the eggs around the yard. We’ve done this in the snow or on toys if the weather is too wet. Just be sure to keep track of where you put them all so you know they’ve all been claimed at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
