Saskatoon is home to so many amazing parks and playgrounds. My son has helped me with the list of our very favourite parks and playgrounds in Saskatoon. We love playgrounds rain or shine, snow or green. The hot hot hot weather we save for Saskatoon Spray Pads.<\/a><\/p>\n

Saskatoon Playgrounds<\/h2>\n

Al Anderson Park<\/a>\u00a0(Hampton Circuit)<\/h3>\n

Located in Hampton Village, this new playground in Saskatoon is hopping with fun with a cool play structure, a new spray pad, and several surrounding ball diamonds and soccer pitches! Pack your sports equipment, bathing suit, and spirit for adventure and prepare for a day of fun, games, and cooling down at Al Anderson Park!<\/p>\n

Albert Milne Park (Greystone, Saskatoon)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

This park is a bit of a hidden gem. I met a friend there recently, and she’ll probably be mad that I’m sharing it! It’s a newer playground in a beautiful park. My son could have moved into the airplane, but he enjoyed the whole playground.<\/p>\n

Ashworth Holmes in Caswell (922 Ave D N<\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This playground is a pretty fun one, and it is also in a beautiful park. We’ve stopped by a few times and always find something new to do when go.<\/p>\n

Brighton Core Park (Brighton BLVD)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Brighton Core Park very quickly become a favourite Saskatoon playground to many. It is designed to represent inclusion in play by having something for everyone. They even have a section for adults!<\/p>\n

Funk Park in Evergreen (835 Evergreen Boulevard)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

We found this one by accident one day. It’s next to a school in Evergreen. It’s full of climbing and fun for your littles.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Dumont Park<\/a>\u00a0(Saskatchewan Cr. W)<\/h3>\n

If you can muster the extra energy, Gabriel Dumont Park is a fantastic biking destination for families looking for a day out on the scenic banks of the South Saskatchewan River (parking is available off Saskatchewan Cr. W)! Gabriel Dumont has two sweet, nature-themed climbing structures, day campsites, washroom facilities, and scenery a-plenty! After a romp at the playground, why not enjoy a nature walk along the trail?!<\/p>\n

Isinger Park \u00a0(236 Sonnenschein Way)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Located off 19th Street and next to the river, this park is a great one for the kids. If you’re checking out the trendy stores or restaurants in the area, your kiddos will love the break. Grab a coffee or treat from Gather Local Market<\/a> and enjoy watching your kids play. This location actually has two different play areas. One full of climbing for the older kids, and one for all ages. They’re both hits!<\/p>\n

Kinsmen Park (Off 25th Street)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is the other playground in Kinsmen Park. It’s closer to the YWCA parking lot. It’s a short walk from the other one and has a lot of fun things for your kids.<\/p>\n

Lions Century Park (Spray Pad and Playground at Lions Century Park in Kensington)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Another new and inclusive park to Saskatoon has it all. Exercise equipment, a fun playground set up and a splash park for the summer. It’s surrounded by greenery.<\/p>\n

Meewasin Park (2703 Spadina Cres E)<\/a><\/h3>\n

\"Saskatoon<\/p>\n

This park is SO much fun for the kids. It is full of sand for soft landings (and messy kids). It’s got a great slide as well as many places to climb. If you’ve got a little climber, this is a must-visit. It’s also an amazing place for walks, picnics, and to enjoy our beautiful city.<\/p>\n

Morris T. Chernesky Park<\/a>\u00a0(Hart Road)<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re looking for a fun, accessible, and diverse playground experience, head on over to Morris T. Chernesky Park! Here you will find one of the largest (and coolest) accessible play structures in the city. The structure is located next to the Shaw Centre, several ball diamonds, and a skateboard pad. With everything going on at this park, you will want to consider carefully what you pack in your day bag! Depending on your choice of activities at Morris T Chernesky, you might want to consider bathing suits, sports equipment, boards and helmets, and some water and snacks!<\/p>\n

Nutrien Playland in Kinsmen Park (945 Spadina Cres<\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This playground has got it all – including a splash pad. Your little ones can climb the Pyramid tower and go down the amazing tunnel slide or stick to the hill slide. Don\u2019t forget about the spinner bowls and double saucer swings. Your kids will also love the cable ride.<\/p>\n

President Murray Park<\/a>\u00a0(1500 Block of Colony St.)<\/h3>\n

Aptly nicknamed \u2018the Spider-Man Park\u2019 after its web-like climbing structure, President Murray Park offers plenty of cozy places to spread out your picnic blanket among plentiful spruce trees. Parents, why not join in the fun and dare yourself not to touch the ground as you navigate the unique play structure at this park? Little ones can enjoy a separate and smaller structure within eyesight of the larger one where they can also choose to dig in the sand or play on the swings!<\/p>\n

Saskatoon Forestry Farm (Forestry Farm Park)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

While at the Saskatoon Zoo, make sure to stop by the Orano Playground. This playground is a hit for any kid that visits. It’ll be hard to convince them to keep visiting the animals if they stop at the amazing playground. It’s just another wonderful aspect of Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.<\/p>\n

While there make sure to also check out The Forestry Farm Park (outside of the zoo grounds)offers 2 elaborate play structures nestled in the tranquil Forestry Farm Park grounds and is surrounded by picnic areas with fire pits, a fishing pond, washroom facilities, and lots and lots of shade! There\u2019s never a dull moment at this playground, and you never know what wildlife might show up to crash your picnic!<\/p>\n

Wanuskewin<\/strong><\/a> (Penner Road<\/a>)<\/h3>\n

We already love visiting Wanuskewin but add in the playground and things get even better. This playground is unique and is full of fun. My son loves the climbing and the slide and he also uses all the different areas to expand his imagination!<\/p>\n

WW Ashley Park (814 2nd St. East)<\/h3>\n

No list of the\u00a0best playgrounds in Saskatoon would be complete without mention of the \u2018Purple Park\u2019! New-ish to the playground scene, the structure on WW Ashley is, without a doubt, the most elaborate in the city! It is fully accessible, totally awesome, and located next to a skateboard pad, paddling pool, and Lathey Pool! The sky is your limit at WW Ashley! Bring a swim suit and join in some City of Saskatoon Paddling Pool programming, grind your board at the skateboard pad, and, of course, let kids test their limits on the fantastic play structure!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
