Foster your child’s love of horses and give them a week to remember at the Belle Wood Equestrian Centre March Break Camp! Ideal for equestrian enthusiasts, kids can fulfill their dreams of horseback riding while also spending their school break outdoors and making lots of amazing memories. Conveniently located off Highway 7 in the charming hamlet of Greenwood in Pickering, Belle Wood March Break Camp is a great place to make new friends and start a fun and exciting new hobby.

Not only is horseback riding a healthy way to get some fresh air and exercise but it is also known to have many mental health benefits! Of course, it obviously boosts the riders’ mood when they connect with nature and bond with these magnificent and gentle creatures. Horses are intuitive and have a calming effect on those who spend time with them. Therefore, they can also reduce one’s stress and anxiety, improve mood, and increase feelings of happiness and well-being. On top of all this, there are also numerous physical benefits attributed to horseback riding, such as increased muscle tone and strength, improved core strength and posture, and developed physical coordination.

Whether your child is a first-timer or an accomplished rider, the friendly staff members and amazing horses at Belle Wood Equestrian Centre ensure that they have a memorable time and make some new riding pals along the way. With programs to fit every horse lover, this equestrian camp offers structured lessons that emphasize safety, horse welfare and rider development. Incorporating the curriculum established by the Ontario Equestrian and Equestrian Canada, it focuses on the development of well-rounded equine enthusiasts. At the same time, the coaches make sure everyone has plenty of outdoor fun!

March Break Camp 2024 (Ages 7 and Up)

Kids who believe that horses are the stuff of fairy tales can experience the real thing here in the GTA! At Belle Wood, they can jump into horsemanship in a well-rounded camp program that teaches core horsemanship principles in a fun and safe environment. Plus, the campers also participate in a variety of outdoor activities, meet other people who share their love of horses and make new “Barn Besties”!

Campers are divided into two groups of only five riders each, based on their current riding level. Every exciting camp day is filled with riding lessons taught by Equestrian Canada Certified Licensed Coaches, plus horsemanship and stable management lessons.
