STEMTech ’25 is bold, innovative, inclusive, dynamic, and completely FREE! Presented by Braintech Robotics, STEMTech ’25 is Toronto’s best STEM showcase for children, youth and their families, where emerging innovators can learn from the industry’s best in a variety of interest areas.
Running on a series of Saturdays, this hands-on tech event is geared toward Black youth and allies in the Greater Toronto Area who are interested in learning more about STEM and possibly pursuing a career in this field down the road. Black youth and their allies can explore the possibilities available in STEM education through hands-on interactive showcases. As part of the interactive exhibits, youth ages 7- 17 will participate in gamified workshops and live demos, and will learn about drones, robotics, AI, automation, and quantum technology. Participants will be grouped by age (7-12 & 13-17) to ensure developmentally appropriate learning and challenges.
Diversity is important in STEM fields, as each person brings a unique perspective to problem-solving, creative thinking, and collaboration- all of which are crucial in technology advancement. Having early access to mentors, high-quality technical materials, and direct learning opportunities that are free of barriers is crucial to inspiring future generations of innovators. At Braintech, the goal is to bridge curiosity and career readiness through providing opportunities for success. In addition to explosure to a wide variety of skills and technology, all youth who attend the free workshops will also be entered into a raffle to win a free drone!
