Celebrating 19 years in Toronto and 35 years internationally, Fun With Music Together is a pioneer in early childhood music and movement education. Offering classes for children from birth through kindergarten, children and their grownups joyfully share songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play, both in music class and in their daily lives.

Wiggling, singing, and laughing with your child is so much fun — it’s easy to forget how much learning is taking place! Fun With Music Together’s research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Because these benefits build over time, children enjoy the fullest growth in each of these areas when they participate as consistently as possible up through kindergarten.

Playful, rich, and engaging, weekly Fun With Music Together classes help babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids (and their grownups!) discover their inner music-makers, while also supporting their overall learning and development. Plus, you’ll have a blast singing, dancing, and jamming along with other families.

Fun With Music Together Classes

Either indoor, outdoor or online, fully trained and registered teachers lead groups of up to twelve children and their parents or caregivers in 45 minutes of music and movement experiences. As a bonus, infants under 10 months are free when attending with a registered sibling!

Each weekly class offers a dozen songs and rhythmic rhymes, including finger plays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play. Children and their adults have opportunities to create and improvise! They make up new words to songs, offer movement ideas, make silly sounds, and share musical ideas from the family’s play at home.

The relaxed and playful classroom setting supports the unique learning styles, developmental levels and temperaments, thereby creating a strong sense of community. In addition, families receive a beautiful songbook, with digital download code and optional CD, that’s filled with music-making ideas for spontaneous music play anytime! Plus, they work with a new music collection every semester.

Class Types and Description

Music Together Mixed-Age Classes (Ages 0-5)

This signature class for children five and under (and their grownups!) is taught both in person and online. During each class, the teacher leads music activities for the whole family and introduce you to a new collection of award-winning songs. Then, you can keep the music going throughout the week with the recording (listen through the Music Together app!) and songbook that brings each song to life.

Whether you attend outdoors, in a classroom or online, classes are active music-making experiences. They are designed to teach the way children learn: through play with the grownups they love.

Music Together Babies (Newborns & Caretakers)

Your little one was born ready to make music! In this special indoor class for parents with babies under 14 months old, you’ll learn lots of fun, interactive music activities that support your child’s growth. This includes their physical, socio-emotional, language, and early brain development. Expert teachers share ideas for how music can help you get through your day.

Your teacher will guide you to position your infant so they are looking at you. You follow the teacher while your baby watches you, and you leave each class inspired to make each day more musical.

Rhythm Kids by Music Together (Ages 4-8)

The interactive Rhythm Kids class taps into how big kids are wired to learn, with music games, rhythm pattern play, and drumming. Lessons engage their creativity and inspire them to explore their musicality in new ways. During each weekly high-energy class, in-person or online, kids have a blast singing, dancing, and jamming to rhythms and tunes inspired by musical traditions around the world. Their specially trained teacher leads group and individual activities that get students up and moving as they learn to compose, choreograph, and conduct.

The music and movement activities naturally support several key developmental areas, including executive function, emerging math skills, and leadership. By the end of the semester, they’ll be proud to show off all the new skills they’ve mastered!
