March is upon us! For Ontarians, that means it’s time for March Break (actually happening in March this year!), daylight saving time (don’t forget to “spring forward” on Sunday, March 13), maple season (stay tuned for lots of sweet events on that front) and the beginning of warmer temperatures! Events Starting in March

Celebrate Toronto Festival (March 1-31)

This is a free month-long virtual festival bringing the city together with online activities and shows, and a market with local vendors.

TSO: “The Princess Bride” In Concert (March 4-5)

Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) plays a live-to-picture performance of Mark Knopfler’s score to the classic family film “The Princess Bride”. (Have fun storming the castle!)

Chotto Matte Jungle Brunch (Starting March 5)

Discover the depths of the Peruvian rainforest at the multi-sensory Chotto Matte Jungle Brunch, with Peruvian-Japanese cuisine and performances by acrobats and aerialists to energizing music.

Brooks Farms Maple Sugar Festival (Starting March 5)

Take a wagon ride into the bush to learn about maple sugar creation, then warm up by the camp fire with a yummy hot chocolate before stopping by the plentiful farmers’ market.

WonderPhil Live Magic Show (March 5-6)

The WonderPhil Live Magic Show at the Wychwood Theatre creates the perfect balance of amazement and laughs to entertain the whole family.

Casa Loma Candlelight Symphony at the Castle (March 11 – April 3)

Experience live music in a new light at the Casa Loma Candlelight Symphony at the Castle, with concerts and a pre-show dining option.

Dino Drive-Thru at Bingemans (March 11 – April 3)

Roar your way through the Dino Drive-Thru at Bingemans in Kitchener this spring to see life-like dinosaurs in an authentic park setting.

Bridges Festival 2022 (March 12-14)

Bridges Festival is an exciting festival filled with puppetry and animation throughout Mississauga during March Break.

Toronto Zoo March Break Activities (March 12-20)

The Toronto Zoo is the perfect place to go wild over March Break regular attractions, you can enjoy the special events over March Break.

Fireside Munsch (March 12-20)

Toronto Youth Theatre and M. John Kennedy are back with “Fireside Munsch!”, just in time for March Break with a new wacky storytelling play based on four more stories by Robert Munsch.

SpringFest TO 2022 (March 12-20)

This indoor fun park entertains families over March Break at Markham Fairgrounds, with classic and inflatable rides, a new dinosaur exhibit, food vendors, daily shows and more.

March Break Cineplex Movies (March 14-18)

Each weekday over March Break, participating Cineplex theatres are showing featured movies for the bargain “Family Favourite” price of $2.99 per ticket!

Little Canada March Break Workshops (March 14-18)

Little Canada offers unique workshops this March Break, where participants create a miniature bedroom, scene or moose mascot-themed craft.

Treewalk Adventure at Treetop Trekking Parks (Thurs-Sun in March, plus March Break)

Treewalk Adventure lets families explore tree house villages in two GTA conservation areas during March Break.

Disney On Ice in Hamilton (March 17-20)

Mickey is back! Disney On Ice’s Toronto dates were postponed due to Ontario’s capacity restrictions but still happening this month in Hamilton.

Toronto Sportsmen’s Show (March 17-20)

Dreams come true at Toronto Sportsmen’s Show 2022 for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, but there is also plenty of fun for the whole family!

Toronto Comicon (March 18-20)

This is a spectacular three-day sci-fi, anime and gaming event, returning just in time to entertain over March Break.

Toronto St. Patrick Parade (March 20)

This popular free outdoor design competition returns to the Beach neighbourhood with public art installations to celebrate Toronto’s winter waterfront landscape.

Cineplex Cinemas Family Favourites

Cineplex Cinemas’ Family Favourites program is returning with fun and affordable movies on Saturday mornings for only $2.99 each.

Immersive Art Exhibits – Extended!

Three popular art presentations have been extended into March: Beyond Monet (until March 13), Immersive Klimt Revolution (until March 27) and Immersive Van Gogh.

AGO Virtual Winter Programs

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) has free virtual educational programs throughout the month to get kids excited about art, at home or at school.
