HUZZAH! Treat your family to the gift experience of a memorable “Knight” out at Medieval Times Toronto! It’s the perfect place to celebrate for kids, teens and parents alike.

This isn’t just a show or a simply a dinner, it’s a two-hour special event that truly immerses you in the experience of a lifetime through food and spectacle. Full of exhilarating heart-pounding excitement, you’ll see lance-shattering jousting, clashing swordsmanship, thrilling hand-to-hand combat, and displays of extraordinary horsemanship and falconry.

Adventure Awaits

The adventure begins when you enter the castle, elaborately situated in a bona fide historical building on the grounds of Exhibition Place at Canada’s only Medieval Times location. The castle gates open an hour before showtime, so come early! You can visit the show’s magnificent birds of prey and elegant horses up close, enjoy a refreshing beverage from the Queen’s full-service bar, peruse the souvenir gift shop, witness a knighting ceremony (or even participate yourself!), take photos of the Hall of Arms and mingle with royalty.

When you check in at the front desk, you’ll receive a crown with a colour coordinating with a section of the arena, determining which brave Knight to cheer for during the show. One of the best parts of going to a Medieval Times show for kids (and adults too, to be honest) is the chance to cheer as loudly as you want for your Knight, who will then show their appreciation as they engage in battle.

Raise a Goblet to our Queen

Soon, it’s time for the Master of Ceremonies to announce the order of guest entry by crown colour. Each section is clearly marked by colour so it’s easy to find your way. Once inside, the expansive space feels like a real medieval tournament.

Then, the feast begins! This four-course meal is fit for royalty, including two rounds of soft drinks, garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken with sweet buttered corn and herb-basted potato, and dessert with a choice of coffee/tea. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available and the chefs can accommodate most dietary restrictions as well. Another fun aspect of the unique Medieval Times gift experience is that the whole meal is eaten without utensils! However, plastic cutlery is available upon request.

Let the Battle Begin

Take a step back in time to join in the rigorous cheering of an epic night of revelry as you cheer for one of six knights competing in the joust and other tests of skill. With acts of both treachery and gallantry, the top knights of the kingdom battle with brawn and steel in a thrilling tournament, with the clashing sounds of their swords ringing in the air.

In this two-hour spectacle of adventure set in Medieval Spain, the highly-trained knights joust and show off their swordsmanship in hand-to-hand combat. The fighting is always impressive! However, the knights are also romantics and hand out flowers to lucky fair maidens in the audience.

Animals are the Stars of the Show

Medieval Times satisfies lovers as well as fighters, with gorgeous performances by horses and falcons who are born performers.

Watch the majestic falcon soar from one end of the battleground to the other with ease and grace. The cheers of the crowd inspire both the falcon and also the Royal Falconer who trains and commands these impressive birds.

The Andalusian horses are so graceful, they look like they’re dancing! American Quarter horses are also an essential part of the portion of the show, as seen racing with their knight during the games of speed and skill, including the javelin throw, ring pierce and flag toss, and of course, the breath-taking jousting competition. It’s so heart-warming to see how attached the knights are to their steed.

Inspired by an 11th-century feast and tournament, Medieval Times offers a boisterous, family-friendly experience. This gift experience is inclusive for all ages, so bring your whole kingdom for an unforgettable Family Knight Out!
