Your Guide to Pumpkin Parades in Toronto 2021

Exciting news: pumpkin parades in Toronto are back with a vengeance for 2021!

If you’re not familiar with this tradition, you can extend the Halloween spirit for an extra night while getting together with your neighbours (in a outdoor, socially-distanced way) to admire each other’s jack-o-lanterns. Then at the end of the evening, the pumpkins are tossed into a bin to be picked up for composting, so for residents it’s an easy and convenient way to responsibly dispose of your creations.

The parades usually take place after sundown on November 1st, though some are on Halloween night or even before. Dress for the weather and bring your own candles. Plus, some parades have canned-food drives, treats and contests!
