It’s sunflower season and these huge picturesque flowers are springing up all over the place! Now you can book time to wander through farm fields and feel at one with nature. And, of course, take plenty of selfies! Many farms also include family activities, and produce and flower markets. So, say cheese with help from our Guide to Sunflower Farms in Southern Ontario.

Note: The usual season for sunflowers runs from late July until early September. Keep in mind that availability of farm operations is not guaranteed, as nature is always changing.

Sunflower Farms — North of Toronto

Campbell’s Cross Farm — Caledon
Connect with nature at this farm with special reduced rates for kids, plus a natural playground, yoga, cut-your-own-sunflowers, and floral arrangement and art classes.

Davis Family Farm — Caledon
Home to one of Ontario’s largest sunflower fields, the Davis Family Farm offers a kilometre-long trail of bright and beautiful sunflowers.

Dixie Orchards — Caledon
Sunflower fields are filled with trails and fun props set amongst a picturesque country landscape. Enjoy the sunflower season while it’s here; the blooms will last until at least Labour Day.

Downey’s Farm — Caledon
Home to the popular farmyard play area with over 25 activities including wagon ride and farm animals, admission to their Sunflower Trail is also included.

Robintide Farms — Maple
Enjoy beautiful fields of flowers with their seasonal Sunflower Walk to pick-your-own bouquet of fresh blooms and create memorable photos in a truly picturesque setting.

Sunflower Fields of Markham — Markham
This is the closest viewing option from Toronto, on Highway 48 just north of Major Mackenzie. With over 20 acres, you can walk through the fields and get the perfect summer sunflower photos.

Sunflower Farms — West of Toronto

Brantwood Farms — Brantford
Take a wagon ride through the farm to the four-acre Sunflower Field and also enjoy the shaded forest trail, picnic area and
play area. Then, cut your own sunflowers to take home.

Hanes Corn Maze — Dundas
Along with the sunflower patch, this farm is also known for their corn maze, bakery, pumpkin patch and farmland play area.

Sunrise Sunflower Farm — Hamilton & Newmarket
Sunflower lovers flock to fields both west and north of the city to get some snaps with flowers, plus loveable rubber duckies.

Sunflower Farms — East of Toronto

Pingle’s Farm Market — Hampton
Stroll down a winding trail through the field of sunflowers and take advantage of their photo prop stations, such as vintage tractors, giant swing and even a bathtub.

Watson Farm Market — Bowmanville
Enjoy a scenic walk through a maze surrounded by sunflowers in full bloom, then bring home your own sunflowers to enjoy at home. They also have numerous pick-your-own options, and a petting zoo and playground.

Sunflower Farms — South of Toronto

Howell Family Farm — Fonthill
Located between St. Catharines and Welland in the Niagara Region, the Sunflower Experience provides the perfect photo op. They also host many Fall family activities plus a busy pumpkin patch.
