The Art Gallery of Ontario’s Andy Warhol exhibit continues through August. Admission for those under 25 is FREE for the full gallery and exhibit!
The CityView Drive-In presenting two FREE family-oriented movies (“The Mitchells Vs. The Machines” on August 4 and “Men In Black II” on August 17) and a concert event (Mini Pop Kids on August 21) coming up this month. Don’t forget to take a family selfie of the downtown skyline while you’re there!
Join Canadian Stage under the stars for their Dream in High Park series. The interactive “Bat Night” is on August 3, musical “Stillwater School for Mosquitos” is on August 10–13 and “Storytent” is on August 21–22.
Gather your nerds… FREE Comic Book Day is coming back! Usually on the first Saturday of May, it’s returning on August 14. There’s always something new to read plus many established favourites, from Star Wars to Smurfs to Spiderman.
Known for its ceramics, the Gardiner Museum is offering FREE admission for all ages all summer, plus extra outdoor activities for families.
In-person visits to the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit continues through August after a successful pivoting to a drive-in experience.
Avenger fans reassemble! The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Canada immersive exhibit, dedicated to the Marvel movie franchise, continues through August at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
The immersive open-air experience Sugar Rush will give you ample photo opportunities for your family and friends! It opens on August 6 and runs until Labour Day at Square One Mall in Mississauga.
The Toronto Blue Jays have just come home for their first game back at the Rogers Centre since 2019! Tickets for their first home-stand (until August 8) are on sale now.
Toronto Zoo’s Terra Lumina, the “enchanted night walk into a bright future”, is back at the Toronto Zoo continuing until September 5.
August closes the book on the 2021 edition of the Word On The Street Summer Spectacular, covering numerous interesting topics throughout the school break: “Chasing Bats & Tracking Rats” on Friday, August 6, “Ecopoetry” Friday, August 13, and “Drawing Comics” on Friday, August 20.
