Break out of your winter doldrums with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) as they get funky with “Let’s Dance”, the last concert in their Young People’s Concerts 2025/2026 season series. This matinĂ©e performance features dance music from around the world, from ballet to breakdancing to bhangra. Not only that, but this interactive and energetic concert also includes a talented cast of dancers and performers accompanying the TSO, sure to thrill audiences with their beautiful costumes, stunning choreography, and eclectic melodies.
TSO Barrett Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser conducts “Let’s Dance” with endearing enthusiasm, inviting audiences to explore, dream, and make some noise, too! Recommended for kids aged 4–10, music lovers young and old will be tapping their toes and dancing in their seats. Along with international music styles, the wide-ranging program includes hits from past and present, including excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, and even Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”!
The TSO always inspires and entertains young listeners, so let your spirits soar to every beat of every musical piece and bring the whole family for this short and snappy hour-long matinée performance. What a great idea for a family outing on a Sunday afternoon!
Enjoy Free Pre-Concert Lobby Activities!
As with previous instalments of their Young People’s Concerts, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) invites patrons to enjoy free activities an hour before the show! Concertgoers can try out instruments at the Instrument Discovery Zone and also have fun at the Music Playground.
Do you want to learn some new dance moves? As a special treat for this performance, audiences can join a workshop led by the Joy of Dance Centre! Don’t miss these activities, taking place in the North Lobby at 1:00 PM – 1:20 PM for the 1:30 PM performance, and at 3:30 PM – 3:50 PM for the 4:00 PM show.

At this performance of the Young People’s Concerts Series, the TSO offers a Relaxed Performance of “Let’s Dance”. Held at 11:00 AM, this concert is designed for neurodiverse audiences and the Disability community. In fact, this flexible environment is perfect for anyone looking for a low-key theatre setting and those who prefer a more sensory-friendly experience. This style of performance is also helpful for families with kids who have trouble sitting still or staying quiet. Instead of stressing, everyone can feel free to relax and enjoy a more relaxed concert environment, all created for comfort and inclusivity.
