It’s sunflower season \ud83c\udf3b and these huge picturesque flowers are springing up all over the province. Starting around August, families can take some time to wander through farm fields, feel at one with nature and, of course, take plenty of selfies! Note: The usual season for sunflower farms runs from early August until mid-September. Keep in mind that the availability of farm operations is not guaranteed, as nature is always changing.<\/p>\n

Campbell’s Cross Farm<\/a>

Davis Family Farm<\/a>

\nHome to one of Ontario\u2019s largest sunflower fields over 40, the Davis Family Farm offers a three kilometre-long trail of bright and beautiful sunflowers, as well as a Sunflower Festival with family fun nights.<\/p>\n

Dixie Orchards<\/a><\/strong>

\nAlso known for their apples and hazelnut picking, pumpkin patch and corn maze, take a tractor and wagon ride to Dixie’s sunflower fields and participate in family activities, including straw jump and farm animals.<\/p>\n

Robintide Farms<\/a><\/strong>

\nEnjoy beautiful fields of flowers with their seasonal Wild Flower & Sunflower Walk to pick-your-own bouquet of fresh blooms and create memorable photos in a truly picturesque setting. The Sunflower Farm & The Little Sunflower Farm<\/a>

\nLocated in Beaverton and Lindsay, check out Canada\u2019s first and only sunflower-shaped trail! These sprawling sunflower farms offer a flower maze that are popular for photo ops, <\/em>as well as vendor markets selling sunflower-themed products.<\/p>\n

Sunflower Fields of Markham<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Address: <\/strong>10378 ON-48, Markham
\nThis is the closest viewing option from downtown Toronto, on Highway 48 just north of Major Mackenzie. With over 20 acres, you can walk through the fields and get the perfect summer sunflower photos. Even better, there’s no time limit on your stay!<\/p>\n

Andrews Farm Market and Winery<\/a>

\nFamilies can frolic around 165 acres of countryside magic in Milton, then pick their own sunflowers<\/a> to enjoy at home. With a general admission ticket, you can roam the winding trails, hitch a ride on a wagon, bounce around the playground and more.<\/p>\n

Brantwood Farms<\/a>

\nTake a wagon ride through the farm to the four-acre Sunflower Field and also enjoy the shaded forest trail, patio area and play area, then cut your own flowers to take home.<\/p>\n

Hanes Corn Maze<\/a><\/strong>

\nAlong with their Fall time fun including corn maze and pumpkin patch, Hanes Farm hosts a Sunflower Maze where you can stroll winding paths surrounded by towering sunflowers. Then, be sure to stop by The Tiny Shop Bakery for pies, cookies, ice cream and sweets!<\/p>\n

\nGet lost in this sunflower maze north of Whitby, explore six acres of sunflower fields. Plus, you can shop at the Sunflower Market and Farm Fresh Store, and join events like Sunset Yoga and Paint Nights.<\/p>\n

Bragg Farms<\/strong><\/a>

\nAt this eighth-generation family-owned farm, Bragg Farms has become a destination for stunning sunflowers in the summer and also pick-your-own potatoes in the Fall. You can even walk your dog through the flower fields in the mornings!<\/p>\n

Pingle’s Farm Market<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Address: <\/strong>1805 Taunton Road East, Hampton
\nWith three fields of sunflowers, lavender and wild flowers, families can engage with nature and take pictures with their photo prop stations, including a giant swing and a purple piano. This year, they’ve planted nine acres of flowers!<\/p>\n

Watson Farm Market<\/a>

\nEnjoy a scenic walk through a maze surrounded by sunflowers in full bloom, then bring home your own sunflowers to enjoy at home. They also have numerous pick-your-own options, and the newly upgraded “Watsonland” which includes a petting zoo and playground.<\/p>\n
