City of Toronto Cross-Country Skiing Areas<\/h3>\n

Beltline Trails<\/a>
\n<\/strong>A network of Midtown trails begins at the Kay Gardner Beltline Park<\/a>\u00a0that was once a past railway line. It then\u00a0goes through Mount Pleasant Cemetery to the Moore Park Ravine, eventually leading all the way to Evergreen Brick Works<\/a> in the Don Valley.

Don Valley Ravine Trails<\/a>
\n<\/strong>The entire Don Valley is a nature paradise in all seasons. Popular areas for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing include\u00a0Crothers Woods<\/a>, and Sun Valley and Cottonwood Flats in the Lower Don Parklands<\/a>. Combined, they\u00a0have kilometres worth of woodland trails.

High Park<\/a>
\n<\/strong>One of the city’s best-known parks features an extensive network of trails perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Tommy Thompson Park<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Otherwise known to locals as the Leslie Spit, this man-made peninsula in the east end of Toronto is car-free. Therefore, it’s a nice quiet spot to do some bird-watching. It also has an increasingly amazing view of the downtown skyline and the Toronto Islands the further out you go.

Toronto Island Park<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Keep in mind that the only ferry running in winter months goes to Ward’s Island<\/a>\u00a0near the residential area. From here, you can ski or snowshoe the trails all the way to Centre Island<\/a>.

City of Toronto Snowshoeing Loops<\/h3>\n

Dentonia Park Golf Course<\/a>
\nAddress:<\/strong> 781 Victoria Park Avenue, Scarborough
\nThis golf course has unique elevations between the greens and fairways, plus picturesque water elements. It’s just north of the Victoria Park subway station for extra convenience.<\/p>\n

Don Valley Golf Course<\/a>
\nAddress:<\/strong> 4200 Yonge Street, North York
\nThe Don Valley Golf Course is located just off Yonge Street between York Mills Road and Highway 401, and features a rolling landscape and natural setting.<\/p>\n

Humber Valley Golf Course<\/a>
\nAddress:<\/strong> 40 Beattie Avenue, Etobicoke
\nNorthwest of the intersection of Highways 400 and 401, this golf course has a combination of flat areas and valleys to keep visitors interested.<\/p>\n

Scarlett Woods<\/a>

\n<\/strong>Easily accessible by public transit near Eglinton West and Jane Street alongside the Humber River, this is an 18-hole public golf has parking and public washrooms available on site.<\/p>\n

Tam O’Shanter Golf Course<\/a> (closed until early 2026 due to construction)
