Each year, families across Toronto and the GTA make their way to the Cirque du Soleil<\/a> Big Top to experience the jaw-dropping acrobatic performances, bold visuals, and surprises that delight viewers of all ages. Delivering a special treat this summer, Cirque du Soleil celebrates the 10th anniversary of its gorgeous production of LUZIA! Not only is this spectacular show a fun event to attend during the summer break, but it also features regular matin\u00e9e show times throughout its run, from June 18 to August 30, 2026. Day or night, Cirque du Soleil\u2019s LUZIA is the perfect family outing and an otherworldly experience that will mesmerize audiences of all ages!<\/p>\n

LUZIA takes audiences on a poetic journey through an imaginary Mexico, blending dream and reality. In this waking dream, a parachuted traveller is poetically guided by light (\u2018luz\u2019) and rain (\u2018lluvia\u2019), discovering the nature and mythology of this mystical land. Much like Toronto\u2019s multicultural identity, this show portrays a vibrant world where heritage and contemporary expression converge.<\/p>\n

Imagine breathtaking\u202fscenes of rainforests and colourful characters from butterflies\u202fto hummingbirds, a majestic horse and even a life-sized puppet jaguar. \u202fBut it\u2019s the element of water that truly makes a splash! Using 10,000 litres of recycled water throughout the show, LUZIA is the first and only Big Top show that creates rainfalls, water curtains, and cenotes (natural sinkholes) as the setting for incredible acrobatics.<\/p>\n
