We love the Kerrisdale Play Palace! The inside of the Kerrisdale Cyclone Taylor Arena is converted into a fantastically fun play area for kids from April- August each year once the ice has melted. This is the perfect play space for kids aged 12 years and under because there are so many areas for them to explore and play in.
The play space includes an inflatable bouncy castle, 3 inflatable obstacle courses, a 20′ inflatable slide, ride-on cars and toys, basketball hoops, building blocks, foosball tables, table tennis, and a designated toddler area with padded flooring, carpet games, climbers and tons of toys.
After racing around non-stop for over an hour, my kids were starting to lose steam so we took a quick lunch break and sat at some tables near the entrance for lunch. They had 3 plastic picnic tables for the kids and some chairs for the adults to sit on. We brought our own lunch, but there are plenty of restaurants along 41st Ave. to purchase food, including a Mcdonald’s directly next to the Play Palace.
Entrance to the Play Palace was super affordable: Under 6 months is FREE, 7-23 month toddlers are $4.24, 2-5 year olds are $5.48, and 6-12 year olds are $6.10. Weekday mornings from 9:30am-11:30 am are reserved for kids 5 and under to play, which was a total bonus for my kids who are both under 5. From 11:30 am-12 pm, the Play Palace is closed for cleaning and then reopens for all ages after that. The cost of entrance covers the whole day, so you can have a picnic outside during the cleaning time and re-enter after if your kids have any energy left!
