Lace up your skates for a quintessential Canadian winter on ice with Canlan Sports Winter Programs! Your path to excellence starts this winter with the Level Up program, specially designed to nurture a love of hockey while developing foundational skills in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. As parents, we all want to support our children to pursue their passions, but it can be hard to find time for sports that often have an unpredictable schedule. That’s what makes Canlan Sports programs so popular with busy families; lessons are scheduled for the same day and time each week, so families can plan ahead and stick to a predictable schedule.

Whether your child is a hockey fanatic or has never stepped on the ice, Canlan Sports makes learning to skate and play hockey accessible. Canlan Sports believes in making learning fun, as it’s the most enjoyable way to grow any skill set. Focusing on development and refinement, with an emphasis on socialization, the Canlan Sports Winter programs provide kids with the best environment to continue learning and growing safely. Canlan Sports is also accredited through Sport for Life as a provider of healthy, life-long participation in sport.

Level Up Hockey – With safety in mind, kids will first focus on building their skating skills so they can move around effectively on the ice. Once they have that mastered, it’s time to learn Hockey! The learning starts right from the dressing room, with experienced coaches helping participants and their families learn how to get their gear on properly and be ready to play. At every level of development, players will be challenged and encouraged to learn new skills through the play-based curriculum. Not sure if your family is ready to invest in full hockey gear just yet? Canlan Sports has a loan program so your child can fall in love with hockey before you go out and buy it all!

Learn to Skate – Canlan Sport’s Learn to Skate program provides empathetic and supportive instruction to increase your child’s comfort wearing skates and moving across a sheet of ice. Through games and fun activities, participants will feel their confidence grow and their skills improve. Learn to Skate programs are offered for Parent & Child, ages 3-6 & 7-12, and even for adults!

Skills & Drills – Get game-ready with more intensive skills and drills programs for athletes looking to hone a specific area of their game. Participants can choose from Stick Handling& Passing, Shooting & Scoring, or Battle Drills. Skills & Drills programs are offered for ages 4-8 and 9-14, as well as 16+.
