Dive into a summer of creativity, self-expression, and fun experiences with Eighth & Eight Performing Arts Summer Camps. If your child finds any opportunity to put on a show and frequently turns their space into a stage, then Eighth and Eight summer camps are the perfect places to hone their skills and develop their talent. Children ages 7-13 interested in performing arts, film, and video will love spending their days collaborating and learning about theatre, comedy, dance, music, audio, and video arts. Through specific instruction and creative pursuits, campers will be amazed by the incredible performances they can create and the connection between their peers that flourishes in this truly collaborative space.
Eighth and Eight, an initiative led by the Massey Theatre Society, grants access to campers enrolled in the Performing Arts Summer Camps to use the dynamic and creative spaces, including the Massey Theatre, Plaskett Gallery, a performance studio, a dance studio, and digital labs. All performing arts camps are led by a highly professional and experienced team of instructors from the Massey Theatre to create an inclusive and supportive environment for children to thrive.
Each camp will be active and engaging with a range of age-appropriate activities scheduled each day, including writing and acting, filmmaking, broadcast audio and video, street and contemporary dance exploration, percussion techniques, and more. Campers are encouraged to make social and artistic connections with peers, increase their confidence and expertise in the various performing arts, and have fun taking risks and being creative.
Eighth and Eight Performing Arts Summer Camps are full-day from 9:00am-3:30pm, and run for a week or two weeks at a time. Each camp is organized by age group. Early drop-off is available starting at 7:30am, and late pick-up is available until 5pm. Early/late pickup is an additional $15/day/child.
