Valerie Pugh’s artwork explores reflection and surveillance, focussing attention on the act of “seeing”. The sculptures and paintings in her exhibition relate to subtle differences between looking as communication with ‘other(s)’, seeing in a subjective self determined way, and surveillance devices where we are watched without permission.
