The Tabletop Roleplaying Games for Adventurers group is a chance for your child to connect and socialize with peers in a creative way while learning skills for coping with big feelings in a safe space. Not only will your child get to join a party and go adventuring on a facilitator-lead campaign, but your child will also get the opportunity to step “behind the screen” and learn how to run your own one-shot game!

Details:
The Westcoast Family Centres facilitators, Courtney and Kevin, are excited to offer this 11 week series! Their goal is to create an inclusive and safe space for your child to connect with your peers while expressing your creativity through role-playing games. Whether you’re a dungeon-delving master or have never played TTRPG before, this group is for anyone who is 16-19 years old and interested!Week 1: Foundation & Introduction
  • set the stage for our adventure, establish the rules and expectations for the group, and get your started on character creation
Weeks 2-7: Adventuring!
  • Facilitator-led six-week campaign (a TTRPG game that runs over the course of multiple sessions)
Weeks 8-11: Player-run One-shots
  • Your child get to step “behind the screen” and take up the role of Dungeon Master (DM) for the day
One-on-one check-in:
  • Opportunity to check-in one-on-one with one of the facilitators each week with any questions and updates your child may have about your experience as an adventurer or their own campaign creation
