The lion dance is a traditional Chinese dance performed during the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) to drive away all the negative energy and evil spirits and bring prosperity, wisdom, positivity, and liveliness. The dance is performed by two dancers inside an ornate lion costume accompanied by beating drums and clashing cymbals.
