Hop into a colourful and bright New Year with LunarFest! 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and the rabbit is considered one of the luckiest in the zodiac calendar. LunarFest is about inviting diverse communities to come together and celebrate Lunar New Year through a variety of exciting and events and workshops like no other.

What began in 2009 and was designed to be a 2010 Winter Olympics Legacy Event, LunarFest lit up the streets of Vancouver during the Olympics with dazzling lanterns to visually depict the diversity within Canada and to reach new Canadians as well as those who have been here for generations. Today, LunarFest has grown substantially into a month-long festival of Asian arts and culture across a multitude of venues in Vancouver. Whether you are interested in seeing the famous Lantern City or want to take in some incredible live music, there are family-friendly events and workshops happening weekly.
