Welcome to November, seemingly the wettest month of the year! But November is sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas which causes the month to be full of family activities and oodles of festive fun.

Check out our Ultimate Guide to Christmas Markets & Craft Fairs in Metro Vancouver. The craft fairs start as early as November 1st and run to mid-December. The majority of the craft fairs happen in the first half of November.

The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito (Nov 2, 3, 9, 10) tells the story of a young girl feeling like a misfit and searching for her place in the world. Mary Jane is a mosquito who doesn’t have wings, but her voice soars to the stars in a new play by Tomson Highway (renowned Canadian author) that weaves music, song and Cree language into its storytelling.

Bear Creek Park Lights is a FREE, family-friendly light instillation in the City of Surrey (Nov 2-15, closed Nov 11). Wander the grounds enjoying the dazzling lights. Don’t miss the special nights that include food trucks, music, and additional activities.

If your little one loves trains be sure to make plans to attend the Vancouver Train Expo (Nov 9 & 10) at the PNE Forum.

On November 11th, we all stop to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We have put together a complete listing of all the Remembrance Day ceremonies across Metro Vancouver.

Head to Port Coquitlam for the 19th annual Hyde Creek Salmon Festival (Nov 19). Kids activities, salmon up close, live entertainment & a delicious salmon BBQ. This is a FREE family event.

The hilarious English panto tradition returns for the 7th year to East Vancouver. You don’t want to miss out seeing East Van Panto: Pinocchio (Nov 20 – Jan 5). Perfect for families with kids aged 5+. Get ready to laugh your socks off!

These tickets are going fast! Carousel Theatre for Young People presents Peter Pan (Nov 20 – Jan 5). Jump feet first into the holiday spirit with this beloved family classic.

FlyOver Canada Christmas (Nov 21 – Jan 5) returns with Santa having lost his elves and he needs the help of the youngest riders to make sure Christmas is a success. FlyOver Canada allows guests to soar from coast to coast on a breathtaking aerial journey using the latest in virtual flight ride technology. The attraction, a first of its kind in Canada, is a fully immersive experience including wind, mist, and even scents! The Christmas version of FlyOver Canada includes a special trip to the North Pole!

Rev up for non-stop family fun with four of your favourite Disney stories when Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party comes to Vancouver (Nov 28 – Dec 1)! The action-packed ice spectacular showcases beloved characters from Disney’s Coco, Frozen, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Toy Story, and the Little Mermaid.

CandyTown in Yaletown (Nov 30) is Vancouver’s only FREE winter festival. Returning for it’s 8th year CandyTown will transform the heritage district of Yaletown into a winter wonderland complete with stilt walkers and roaming holiday characters, live music and carolling.
