Summer is the perfect time to dive into creative passions and try a variety of art mediums. Kids and youth love arts , but sometimes it’s not feasible for parents to keep up with and invest in unlimited amounts of art supplies to keep their child engaged and developing in their artistic pursuits. That’s where PoMoArts comes in! As a leader in quality arts education, PoMoArts offers exceptional summer camp options for kids and youth.

PoMoArts is a community-based arts organization that has been providing outstanding arts education since 1998 and is housed in one of two designated heritage buildings in Port Moody. The organization, primarily run by artists, is dedicated to inspiring, promoting, and educating the next generation of artists while uplifting and promoting local artists through their many gallery installations.

Whether your child is well-established in their artistic journey, or they are just dipping their toe into new mediums, PoMoArts has a summer camp sure to inspire. Most of the camps offered are full-days and run from 9am- 3pm, while others are offered in a half-day format (9am-12pm/9:30am – 12:30pm). Each camp is a weeklong and campers will engage in a variety of creative pursuits, enjoy outdoor play, and connect with new friends. Clay, fibre arts, painting, and beading– there’s something for everyone available in PoMoArts summer camps!

Can’t choose between just one art medium? PoMoArts offers amazing Art Combo and ArtBlend camps so your child can experience multiple options all in a single camp! There are so many incredible offerings at PoMoArts, but a couple that caught my eye were their Cultural Arts camp for 5-8-year-olds and 9-12-year-olds. In Cultural Arts, students will explore the world of beading and drumming from qualified instructors as they learn how to express themselves through artistic mediums. And Creative Tech Website Building for 9-12-year-olds, in this camp students will learn how to design their own website a creative skill that will surely come in handy as they grow.
