The friendliest engine has arrived in Squamish. \u00a0Big thanks to the West Coast Heritage Railway Association for bringing everyone’s favourite little blue engine back to town.<\/p>\n

The Day Out with Thomas is so much more than the 25 minute ride on the big train. \u00a0While riding a real train is a blast, the hoards of volunteers have set up oodles of activities to keep the hundreds of kids thoroughly entertained.<\/p>\n

In the main station, FREE face painting as well as storytelling and Thomas movies kept the kids enthralled. \u00a0For $5 the miniature train took visitors on a 20 minute ride around the park. \u00a0In the round house, loads of Thomas and Friends toys were for sale. \u00a0There were model trains set up, some of which the kids could drive themselves.<\/p>\n

In the building off the back of the round house the Imagination Station is set up. \u00a0Even more events are available (all included in your ticket price): temporary tattoos; bouncy castle; colouring sheets; Sir Topham Hat, in person; a live magic show and much more.<\/p>\n

When leaving your Day Out with Thomas, the children are giving great prizes. \u00a0The Thomas & Friends Naming Wheel is just about the best thing since sliced bread. \u00a0I must admit the names of Thomas’ friends have never stuck for me. \u00a0I’m forever saying “Sorry buddy, I don’t know his name”. \u00a0Thanks to this Naming Wheel, I’m no longer the disastrous mom who doesn’t know the name of the pink train with freckles (FYI – her name is Rosie!)<\/p>\n
