Arts Umbrella invites young people to try something new or hone an existing artistic passion. Arts Umbrella Summer Camps<\/a> are all about diving headfirst into the arts and discovering what ignites your imagination and fuels your soul. Summer programs – in art, design, dance, theatre, music, and film – offered by Arts Umbrella provide artists aged 3 – 19 with an opportunity to develop their skills and enjoy summer break alongside peers. With single-week or multi-week programs, Arts Umbrella has something to fit every family’s schedule!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>If your child is interested in Art & Design<\/strong><\/a>, they have a myriad of programs to choose from, including cartooning, architecture, mixed media, claymation, photography, drawing & painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Without a doubt, one of Arts Umbrella’s most popular programs, which is only offered in the summer, is the City Sketchbook: Drawing and Painting. In this camp, students will explore their environment to draw and paint what they see, inspiring young artists to find beauty in the world around us. In the Claymation and Digital Painting and Design camp, students can explore the thriving world of digital art and painting to take their skills from pen and paper to the digital world!<\/p>\n

If you have a performer in your midst, they will thrive in Theatre, Music & Film<\/strong><\/a> camps! There are several different classes and intensive programs to dive into for every level of performer. Popular camps include musical theatre, sketch comedy and improv, creative drama, and acting for film and television. In the Summerstage Theatre Intensive program, older students will learn and perform a full play in four weeks to show to family and friends.\u00a0 If your child is more interested in what goes on behind the scenes, there are a series of Stagecraft camps to learn from professionals in the art of prop building and set design.<\/p>\n

Dance Intensives<\/a> provide an excellent opportunity for students to increase their skills and knowledge under the guidance of exceptional teachers and guest instructors. Students will learn Ballet, Conditioning, Jazz, and Character classes as part of the Junior (Grades 2-7) and Teen (Grades 8-12) Dance Intensives.<\/p>\n

Summer Programs run from July 6 – August 7, 2026; Theatre, Music & Film and Art & Design programs are running for the first five weeks, and the Dance Intensives are Week 1 and Week 2.<\/p>\n

Arts Umbrella<\/a> is the pre-eminent arts educational facility in British Columbia.
