The Coast Salish Knitters of Cowichan have produced Cowichan sweaters of hand-spun wool for almost a century, yet the knitters themselves have remained relatively unseen. This documentary features archival footage that aims to shed a light on the resourceful heroines who knit to put food on the table to feed their families.<\/p>\n

3. Keepers of the Fire<\/strong><\/p>\n

This documentary profiles Indigenous “warrior women” in Canada who have fought, and continue to fight, to protect their land, their culture, and their families.<\/p>\n
