Children learn so much from their caregivers and parents when they are young, and preschool is another stepping stone in setting our children up for success. Preschool programs teach routines and social skills, and provide plenty of songs, crafts, and activities that are key for developing brains. PJ’s Kids Club<\/a>, located on the grounds of Pauline Johnson Elementary, is a place where your child will thrive and grow as they explore different themes and increase their independence through play-based activities.<\/del><\/p>\n

At PJ Kids Club<\/a>, playing and encouraging a sense of wonder is paramount in all preschool classes. Children naturally learn through experiencing the world around them, and by providing the space for creativity and imagination, PJ Kids Club helps preschoolers learn, play, and grow. Since 1981, PJ Kids Club has been delivering quality education and a developmentally appropriate curriculum. With ample access to nature and a focus on movement, PJ Kids Club ensures that children ages 3-5 can be silly, be playful, and develop a sense of well-being and belonging. They follow the BC Early Learning Framework, which integrates First Peoples Principles of Learning and focuses on the role of the family in learning and nurturing curiosity. Educators encourage a holistic worldview approach to learning where each child’s culture and language are celebrated and explored. The preschool program includes French-language enrichment and a weekly music class where students are exposed to different instruments and learn fun songs throughout the year.<\/del><\/p>\n

PJ Kids Club<\/a> offers flexible preschool hours that suit every family and their needs. Their half-day programs run in the morning (9am-12:30pm), or afternoon (11am-2:40pm). Full-day preschool classes are also available from 9am-2:40pm, providing similar hours to an elementary school day for children that are ready for longer classes. Classrooms are divided by age, with children in either the 3 & 4 year old class or 4 & 5 year old class.<\/del><\/p>\n
