If you’re living in (or visiting) Vancouver and you want to experience some winter fun, there’s a good chance you’ll have to head up to the mountains! One of the benefits of living on the West Coast is that we enjoy mild temperatures and only the occasional flurries, while the rest of Canada gets Arctic-cold air and blizzard conditions. Still, kids and adults alike can’t resist a day of playing in the snow, and tubing is perfect for those who aren’t quite ready to go skiing or snowboarding. Be sure to check ahead to make sure the tube parks are open!<\/p>\n

Get some good use out of your snow gear and head up to the mountains for a fun day of snow tubing at these great locations:<\/p>\n

Bubly Tube Park | Whistler<\/h3>\n

A trip to Whistler isn’t complete without a visit to the Bubly Tube Park! Here you will find two options: the regular lanes and the special Mini Lanes for kids ages 3+ and 36″ – 41″ tall. Tickets to the tube park are only released 3 days in advance, and visitors can choose a 1-hour ($36) or 2-hour ($54) timeslot.

Cypress Mountain | West Vancouver<\/h3>\n

Race down 6 different runs each approximately 100 metres in length at Cypress Mountain’s tube park! Kids (and adults) will have a blast out on the slopes at Cypress Mountain. Take a break from downhill sports and enjoy a thrilling and enjoyable day at the Tube Park. Book your tickets in advance; tickets are $37, unless you have a Sky Card or a Nordic Pass.

Sasquatch Mountain | Agassiz<\/h3>\n

It’s a roaring good time at the Yeti Tube Park at Sasquatch Mountain! Guests 3 years and over can grab a tube, take the motorized track up the hill, and fly down laughing and squealing on your inflatable tube. With many tracks available, kids can go up and down plenty of times. Be sure to book ahead; entry is timed and admission includes 2 hours on the tube park to keep lines safe and manageable.

Sea to Sky Gondola | Squamish<\/h3>\n

Get ready for a full day of tubing at Sea to Sky Gondola! Just a short walk from the Summit Lodge is a an exciting tube park for sliding, complete with a separate platform for those who would prefer to watch! With unlimited tubing for just $5, this is an economical way to burn some energy while having a blast! Kids must be taller than 42″ to hold onto the tube handles!

Seymour Mountain | North Vancouver<\/h3>\n

The best part of tubing is racing down the mountain, but the worst part (especially with kids in tow) is climbing back up! Seymour Mountain has that covered with a custom tube tow line where you and the kids can sit in the tube and be towed back up the hill, leading to hours of fun and much-needed rest for your legs! Kids must be 48″ to ride in the tube park, and riders get two hours of fun with their $33 admission.
