Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club has been keeping kids and adults active, engaged and finding their way in Calgary for over 40 years. SOGO Adventure Running is Foothills Orienteering’s kids’ program. SOGO programs combine running with navigation, map reading, games, and adventure for kids of all ages. It combines everything we need for optimum physical and mental health: physical activity that’s rooted in nature with like-minded friends!
SOGO Adventure Running offers half-day and full-day summer camps for kids ages 5 – 12 in various Calgary parks. These camps are filled with trail running and outdoor games, offering loads of physical movement, adventure, and fun. Kids will learn map reading through orienteering activities and navigation sessions, too. SOGO is all about developing outdoorsy, adventurous and confident kids.

SOGO سمر کیمپ ہفتہ وار جولائی اور اگست تک کیلگری کے مختلف مقامات پر چلتے ہیں، اس کے علاوہ کینمور میں آدھے دن کا کیمپ بھی ہوتا ہے۔ آپ کے منتخب کردہ ہفتے پر منحصر ہے، کیمپس Canmore Nordic Centre، Fish Creek Park، Confederation Park، Nose Hill Park، اور Pearce Estate Park میں منعقد کیے جاتے ہیں۔ کیمپ آدھے دن صبح 9 بجے سے دوپہر 12 بجے تک اور پورے دنوں کے لیے صبح 9 بجے سے شام 4:30 بجے تک چلتے ہیں۔ والدین آدھا گھنٹہ پہلے چھوڑ سکتے ہیں یا کیمپ ختم ہونے کے آدھے گھنٹے بعد اٹھا سکتے ہیں۔ بلاشبہ، بچوں کو بیرونی سرگرمیوں کے لیے لباس پہننا چاہیے، بشمول تہوں اور اچھے، فعال چلنے کے ساتھ جوتے۔ پانی کی بوتل اور نمکین پیک کریں۔ ہوسکتا ہے کہ کچھ اضافی نمکین بھی ڈال دیں، کیونکہ تازہ ہوا میں اس ساری سرگرمی کے بعد وہ بھوکے ہوں گے!
