Celebrate the Spring Equinox and fill the sky with lanterns at Light It Up: An East Toronto Lantern Celebration, presented by East End Arts, Shadowland Theatre and Workman Arts. There are free weekly lantern-making workshops at the Crescent Town Club and St Matthew’s Clubhouse March 1-20 (free registration required), or you can make your own lantern at home, then bring your lanterns to Dentonia Park on March 22 for the Light It Up Lantern Parade.
