The Markham Fair, one of Canada’s longest-running county fairs now in its 177th year, is pivoting towards an agricultural event for 2021 after cancelling last year due to Covid. This year’s fair is titled “Markham Fair in a Flash: Farming Our Way Back”.
Groups can walk through the exhibits and activities in one direction to ensure properly personal distancing. Masks are required inside buildings or when a distance of six feet can not be maintained.
Areas of interest include:
- Farm animals
- Agricultural displays
- Tractors and other farming implements
- Barnyard performance zone
- Static monster truck display
- Homecraft and community straw bale competitions
- Farmers’ market
- Fair food and vendors at the end of the path so you can grab a treat to take home
The Markham Fairgrounds is wheelchair and stroller accessible, and parking is free.
Tickets are only being sold online. More information is available here.
