Let your child explore, learn, and create with Steamoji Vaughan Maple at their brilliant summer camps! Kids aged 5-14 can join these week-long day camps to enjoy a fun-filled, hands-on STEAM experience that trains the next generation of builders, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs.

Because technological change has been accelerating rapidly in recent years, parents have realized that STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) are vitally important. In fact, while schools are still focused on traditional studies, this specialized education can prepare their children for their future careers.

Steamoji Vaughan Maple, a STEM Maker Academy, is the place for children to create a sense of meaning and a growth mindset. Students benefit from this new learning experience, developing skill pathways through Steamoji’s 400-hour curriculum, designed to fill the learning gap through structure and reinforcement. First, campers learn the basic subject knowledge. Then, they are encouraged to practically apply these skills with the idea of “Build to Solve™”.

Steamoji Vaughan Maple Summer Camps — Applied STEM

Steamoji Vaughan Maple Summer Camps

Join Steamoji Vaughan Maple for summer camps that supply hands-on knowledge, such as coding, 3D printing, robotics, and much more. These fun weeks of discovery, experimentation, and invention focus on teaching foundational skills. Then, the coaches encourage the apprentices to imagine and problem-solve to improve their own creations.

Suggested Age 5+

  • The Art of Games: Plan, Make, Play — In this camp, art history meets game strategy where the Steamoji Junior Apprentices aged 5-7 invent and build their own art-inspired mini-games. Math and art meet up to create magic, blending artistic skills and critical thinking within the gaming world. So, who’s ready to play?!
  • Carnival of Creativity: Digital Storytelling and Fabrication — This camp taps into the kids’ creativity across the entire STEAM spectrum! They start with an idea, develop it on screen, then bring it to life through digital storytelling and fabrication. From sports to entertainment, apprentices can explore all the exciting worlds in their imagination!
  • STEAM Goes Medieval: Creating Castles & Catapults — Incoming! In this camp, the apprentices become engineers, working in teams to build the strongest catapult and tallest tower possible. First, the campers learn about levers, mechanics, building techniques and balance. Then, they get creative and make colourful birds and mascots for the catapult to launch. On the last day, teams will face off to knock down each others’ towers!

Suggested Age 8+

  • Arduino Electronics Fabrication Design & Planning — In this physical computing camp, campers combine coding with other STEM activities to connect the digital world to the real world. Their goal is to create a motion-sensor machine that can perform tasks, such as launching an object, playing a game or saying “hello”.
  • Marble Run Madness: Design and Engineer — Kids imagine the most exciting roller coaster they can think of, including loops, jumps and hairpin bends. Then, they come and build it! They turn household materials into a roller coaster for marbles, learning about the design process, research, and testing stages as they assemble their marble run. By the end of the week, they complete a fascinating, gravity-defying structure that combines creativity with engineering.
  • Lightbulb Moment: Making a 3D Printed Lamp — Campers can use bright ideas to get building in this camp. Using a combination of coding, 3D modelling, 3D printing, and circuit-building, they create their own RGB lamp. In addition, the apprentices take their building projects from concept to a fully functional light feature. Even better, they can bring them home at the end of the week to display proudly.
