Break out of your Winter doldrums and bounce into Spring with the Toronto Symphony OrchestraĀ (TSO) as they get funky withĀ āLetās Danceā, the last concert in theirĀ Young Peopleās ConcertsĀ 2025/2026 season series. This matinĆ©e performance features dance music from around the world, from ballet to breakdancing to bhangra. Not only that, but this interactive and energetic concert also includes a talented cast of dancers and performers accompanying the TSO, sure to thrill audiences with their beautiful costumes, stunning choreography, and eclectic melodies.
TSO Barrett Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser conductsĀ āLetās DanceāĀ with endearing enthusiasm, inviting audiences to explore, dream, and make some noise, too! Recommended for kids aged 4ā10, music lovers young and old will be tapping their toes and dancing in their seats. Along with international music styles, the wide-ranging program includes hits from past and present, including excerpts from TchaikovskyāsĀ Swan Lake, Leonard BernsteināsĀ West Side Story, and even Bruno Marsā āUptown Funkā!
As with previous instalments of theirĀ Young Peopleās Concerts, theĀ Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) invites patrons to enjoy free activities an hour before the show! Concertgoers can try out instruments at the Instrument Discovery Zone and also have fun at the Music Playground. As a special treat for this performance, audiences can join a workshop led by the Joy of Dance Centre! Donāt miss these activities, taking place in the North Lobby at 1:00 PM ā 1:20 PM for the 1:30 PM performance, and at 3:30 PM ā 3:50 PM for the 4:00 PM show.
In addition, at this performance of theĀ Young Peopleās ConcertsĀ Series, theĀ TSOĀ offers aĀ Relaxed PerformanceĀ ofĀ āLetās Danceā. Held at 11:00 AM, this concert is designed for neurodiverse audiences and the Disability community. In fact, this flexible environment is perfect for anyone looking for a low-key theatre setting and those who prefer a more sensory-friendly experience.
