There’s at-home artmaking and thought-provoking youth events happening online through the AGO all summer. Click on the links to find out more.

This week is your last chance to join the online Summer POP! at-home livestream series, FREE. Here’s this week’s daily activities:

Dance – Tuesday, July 27, 10 am – 11:15 am
Today’s all about dancing and drawing. We’ll find objects to dance with, create dance diagrams in the park and make drawings created by movement.

Light As Air – Wednesday, July 28, 10 am – 11:15 am
Inspired by the floating movements of Andy Warhol’s Silver Clouds, we’ll spend this day creating artworks that are moved by air, using materials from the recycling bin.

Movable Parts – Thursday, July 29, 10 am – 11:15 am
Inspired by the work of Pop artists who used images of cars and bicycles in their work, we will create an inventive artwork with parts that move.

For youth, there are also some interesting workshops and talks coming up that take place on Zoom and Instagram:

Beginner Vogue Workshops – Wednesdays, July 28 – August 25, 4:00 – 5:00 pm on Zoom (Free but required registration)
Learn how to vogue dance from the legendary vogue pioneer Twysted Miyake-Mugler, a house father, teacher, activist and emissary of Canadian ballroom.  These beginner-level workshops will cover the five elements of vogue fem, ending each week with a ball. Kiki’s Lounge encourages anyone who wants their first voguing experience to participate. All are welcome to come regardless of age, sexuality or level.

What Do We Think About Andy? – Thursday, July 29, 3:00 – 4:00 pm on Instagram (Free)
If you could be any Warhol superstar, who would you be? Has anyone ever called your work Warholian, and if so, did you consider it a compliment? Inspired by the campy and candid style of Interview Magazine, don’t miss writer Cason Sharpe in discussion with artist Kiera Boult, writer Chelsea Rozansky, and artist-run-centre Hearth, as they reconcile their practices with Warhol’s legacy.

Speaking of Andy Warhol, don’t miss the AGO’s blockbuster exhibition, spanning all four decades of the Pop Art legend’s astonishing career. Exhibition tickets include General Admission and visitors 25 and under are always FREE.
