Brimacombe invites families to join them for Brimfest, a fun weekend full of wintery celebrations… both on and off the slopes! Enjoy a weekend of skiing and snowboarding, along with special events, at Durham Region’s largest ski & snowboard area.

Presented by KX96 New Country FM, 94.9 The Rock & CKDO 107.7 Durham’s Classic Hits, you will find food and music, après-ski events, themed activities, prizes and giveaways, and more fun-filled activities for the whole family. So, mark your calendars for Brimfest because you won’t want to miss it!

All weekend long, families can partake in activities for kids, including crafts and colouring, complimentary face painting, complimentary bonfire and s’mores, free cotton candy, and competitions on the slopes for kids aged 12 and under. The two-day party also features fashion and games, ski/snowboard races, parties, giveaways, and of course, gnarly skiing and snowboarding, too!

Brimfest Events include:

Friday, February 27 (4:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

Get the weekend party started early on Friday, where you can take advantage of Brimacombe’s Family Night offer and spend an evening of fun in the snow!

  • Family Night – From 4:00 PM, a family can get lift tickets (valid up to 4 hours) for only $169+HST* (Family consists of a maximum of 5 persons, including at least one Adult/Senior and one 13 & Under or Student. Additional lift tickets are available to purchase at the on-site advertised walk-up rates. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer.)
  • Terrain Park Jam Session — Participants aged 14 and up can show off their best tricks at the terrain park. There’s no pressure and judging, just plenty of hype-up music, good vibes, and some giveaways too!

Saturday, February 28 (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)

On the first official day of Brimfest, Brimacombe declares Saturday as Retro Day! Dress in your wildest retro snowsuits and themed ski outfits. There’s also kids’ ski races and an Après Ski event, complimentary s’mores and cotton candy, face painting, crafts and colouring, and more happening throughout the day!

  • Retro Day – Dig deep into your closets and come decked out in your retro-themed outfits and out-of-style gear! However, keep in mind that all clothing and equipment must be safe for riding the lifts and the slopes. Meanwhile, watch out for the Brimacombe spotters who will be giving out prizes for the best costumes throughout the day!
  • Free Activities and Treats — Camp Brimacombe Crafts & Colouring Contest, Face Painting, Bonfires and S’mores (while supplies last), Cotton Candy (while supplies last)
  • Bambi Dual Slalom Course – Kids aged 12 and under can race on the slalom course on the Standard Run in front of the East Chalet. (Valid Lift Ticket or Membership and helmets required)
  • Family Night – From 4:00 PM, families can ski and snowboard under the twinkling lights and go down the slopes wearing glow bracelets, light rings, and more! A family can get lift tickets (valid up to 4 hours) for only $169 +HST* (Family consists of a maximum of 5 persons, including at least one Adult/Senior and one 13 & Under or Student. Additional lift tickets are available to purchase at the on-site advertised walk-up rates. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer.)
  • Après Ski Party – Grab your family and friends and warm up in the East Chalet with an Après Ski event, complete with live music and a bar.

Sunday, March 1, 2026 (9:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

For the second day of Brimfest, the fun continues on Sunday with Crazy Costume Day, including even more prizes for the best outfits! Plus, skiers and snowboarders aged 15 and under can join the Piggy Bank Jam Session, as well as the Rick Cote Bambi Jump for those 12 & under, and more free activities all day long.

  • Crazy Costume Day — Dress to impress while rocking your craziest costume on the slopes! Spotters will be giving out prizes throughout the day to those wearing the wackiest outfits. (Please ensure all costumes are safe for riding the slopes.)
  • Free Activities and Treats — Camp Brimacombe Crafts & Colouring Contest, Face Painting, Bonfires and S’mores (while supplies last), Cotton Candy (while supplies last)
  • Piggy Bank Jam Session – Skiers and snowboarders ages 15 & under can show off their best tricks in the Piggy Bank progression terrain park. Plus, they can score some awesome prizes! (Helmets required. Participants must have a valid Hike Pass, Lift Ticket or Membership.)
  • The Rick Cote Bambi Jump – Kids can test their skills in the Bambi Jump, open to participants aged 12 and under. (A valid Lift Ticket or Membership is required, along with a helmet.)

  • Demo Day — Head over to Slopeside Skis & Boards all week long, located at the base of Brimacombe! This retail store carries this season’s newest equipment by some of the most trusted brands in skiing. Do you want to try it before you buy it? To help ensure you get your best slope experience, Brimacombe has a Demo Program, which allows you to test out your skis before you decide the best fit.
