The month of June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, with June 21 being National Indigenous Peoples Day. The annual Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival (SSIF) has done an incredible job adapting to make their annual festival a series of virtual events this year.

The events are taking place from June 1 – 21, including live music and dance performances, educational videos, culinary classes and more! SSIF has partnered with BMO to provide Education Days for students and teachers to encourage learning together about Indigenous history. These classes include art workshops, book readings and museum tours among other resources.
