- Illumination at Colborne Lodge: Christmas Ghost Stories
Date: December 16-19, 2025
Come gather indoors as the year’s longest night approaches to share cold weather traditions from past and present. Activities include singing and a live candle-lit reading of a Victorian Christmas ghost story, plus warm beverages and sweet treats. Recommended for ages 8 and up (8 to 16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder).
Fort York National Historic Site
- One Love Festive Market: Follow Your Heart

Fort York’s historic Blue Barracks become a warm and love-filled festive market for a joyful weekend celebrating creativity, culture, and community. Shop from a diverse collection of food and artisan vendors, plus children’s activities including a hot chocolate station and cookie decorating workshops. - Make, Bake & Take Gingerbread Workshops for Children

Make an 1831 Gingerbread recipe to take home and enjoy for the holidays, made in the historic kitchen at Fort York National Historic Site. Hear stories about ingredients and their histories from Toronto History Museum’s Chef in Residence, Chef Jean Régis Raynaud, and enjoy some of his Olive Bread.
Mackenzie House Museum

Learn about the history of early printing and find out how festive cards were made in an 19th century printshop. Then, create a unique card to celebrate the season from pictures found in the Mackenzie House Museum image collection.
