Delight in the seasonal festivities as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’s enchanting score LIVE to the holiday classic “Home Alone” at Roy Thomson Hall on December 7-9 for only four performances. Conducted by Constantine Kitsopoulos and including the Modern Sound Collective, led by Artistic Director Kai Leung, celebrate the holidays with the return of this seasonal favourite.
Macaulay Culkin stars as an inventive eight-year-old who fights with his brother and is sent to his room, wishing he didn’t have a family. Next morning, the family leaves for their Christmas vacation to Paris, and Kevin is home alone! At first, he revels in his newfound independence. But then, a couple of bone-headed burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) try to break in. Kevin must defend his house by repeatedly outsmarting them, and he realizes how important family truly is. Packed with jokes and hijinks, “Home Alone” also stars Canadian comedy icons Catherine O’Hara and John Candy.
