Chocolate Tales Summer Camp Offers Delicious Fun for Kids!

Looking for a way to sweeten your child’s summer vacation? Give them a delectably unforgettable experience at Chocolate Tales Summer Camp! This day camp empowers kids to learn the art of chocolate-making and baking, and feel confident in the kitchen. Meanwhile, as they create yummy treats, they also have fun and build social skills with their peers! Plus, participants do not need to have prior baking or chocolate-making experience — everyone is welcome!

However, campers aren’t cooped up in the kitchen all day. They also get out outside every day and enjoy the beautiful summer weather, participating in outdoor games that will get them moving and work up their appetites! Then, to cap off the week, the kids also learn the art of making pizza, baking them from scratch to make it extra satisfying! They mix and knead the dough, choose from various topping options, and learn how to bake it to perfection.

With locations in Hamilton & Thornhill, both facilities are peanut-free, tree-nut-free, and sesame-seed-free. Chocolate Tales summer camp is open to all children aged 7-12, taught by trained facilitators who have extensive experience running summer camps. Needless to say, safety is paramount so the coaches also have CPR & First Aid training certificates to ensure that classes run safely and smoothly.

Chocolate Tales hosts weekly fun-filled summer camps filled with chocolate and baking activities! Kids get hands-on experience decorating their chocolate creations, empowering them to feel comfortable in the kitchen.

Become a Baker — Attention, aspiring bakers! Kids can indulge their sweet tooth and learn new techniques that will surely impress family and friends. This baking camp week is just what young people need to take their baking skills to the next level.

Campers can learn how to make impressive desserts, such as adorable cake pops, decadent lava cakes and delicate French macarons that will have their taste buds exploding with delight. With help from the expert staff who guide the participants through the process step by step, kids also learn the art of cake decorating. This includes everything from piping frosting to decorating with fondant so they can create stunning designs that will impress everyone.

Become a Chocolatier — During this camp, kids participate in a wide variety of activities to stimulate both their taste buds and their creativity. First off, they get to decorate their own aprons to wear as they make all sorts of tasty chocolate treats. Getting messy is part of the fun, after all!

Next, campers learn how to mold with chocolate, learn about the different types of chocolate and discover the skills to use them in new fun ways. Lastly, they find out how to master the art of tempering chocolate for their delicious treats, including making the perfect ganache to use as a filling.

Become a Chocolate Maker — Are your kids interested in having ready a chocolate-filled adventure? In this camp, campers explore what goes into crafting a bean-to-bar chocolate. This process includes selecting the perfect beans, roasting the beans and the special mixing (conching) that creates the chocolate’s perfect consistency.

Participants also learn how to make chocolate bark, which can be customized with all sorts of toppings. Additionally, the budding chocolatiers make chocolate truffles, filled with delectable fillings and topped with stunning decorations. Finally, for a creative twist to traditional chocolate-making, the kids get to sculpt with chocolate and create edible works of art. It’s almost too beautiful to eat!

Early Drop-Off: 8:30am
Late Pickup: 4:30pm

Fees:

Hamilton: $450 per child per week
Thornhill: $475 per child per week
Family Discount: $25 discount per week for a second child from the same family

Camp Meals:

Campers bring their own nut-free snacks and lunch Monday-Thursday
On Friday, a pizza lunch is provided!
