Downsview Park welcomes the community to join a tree-planting program with Nikibii Dawadinna Giigwag (NDG), Anishinaabemowin for “flooded valley healing”, a group that offers employment and mentorship to Indigenous youth, as well as pathways to postsecondary education at the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. No experience is necessary, and through hands-on ecological learning, you can learn about the growing intergenerational gap in traditional environmental knowledge.

Note: One ticket per family or group; all equipment is provided. Adult accompaniment is necessary for participants under the age of 16.
