Canada’s leading soccer school for kids aged 4-13, Power Soccer School of Excellence, hosts their bustling March break Camps again this year! Not only can kids develop their confidence and sharpen their soccer skills during the off-season in these winter day camps, but they can also stay active and make new friends during the school break. There are both half-day and full-day options available and kids of all skill levels are welcome to join.

In three indoor locations, these day camps are popular with Toronto families because they cover all corners of the city, including Central Tech Stadium in the Annex, The Hangar at Downsview Park in North York and the Toronto City Sports Centre in East York. At each of the March Break Camp levels, professional coaches help develop the players’ skills through games and skill-building activities. Plus, safety is the top priority! As such, each lesson is run under the direction of a senior staff coach and all of the enthusiastic coaches instruct fun and dynamic programs with a low player-to-coach ratio.

Kids Learn Soccer Skills Development

This March Break program is perfect for young soccer players hoping to have fun, burn excess energy, and make new friends. In this positive and challenging soccer environment, the encouraging coaches focus on player development, soccer skill activities, tactics and lots of gameplay. Through their proven methods, Power Soccer School of Excellence develops confident players with a positive attitude!

Each session focuses on specific skills, with half of the session acting as soccer games. This way, the players can take the newly learned skills skill and immediately incorporate them into a game setting. Kids can experience the dynamic coaching in a soccer clinic format, instilling a love of the “beautiful game”. Since the camps are organized into three-hour sessions, players can register for one session or even more during the week, which is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience quickly.

The basic daily schedule features group activities, such as strength and agility exercises, and warm-ups. Further skill-building exercises include defence techniques and individual moves and tricks, passing and shooting drills, ball coordination, plus practice soccer games. Each player’s confidence develops while playing in the spirit of fair play through these skills, tactics and games.

Power Soccer March Break Camps — Schedule

Soccer Essentials (Ages 6-7)
In this program, younger kids expand on their core soccer skills and learn good soccer habits through further age-appropriate skill exercises and games. In skill exercises and small-sided soccer games, this program emphasizes coordination and movements that positively impact each young player’s development. At the same time, the competition gets more energetic while the kids still have fun and achieve success through skill training and gameplay.

Skill Development Program (Ages 8-13)
Next, older kids can join this skill development program with advanced coaching designed for players looking to further develop and refine their soccer skills. These include ball control, passing for possession, support play, positional sense, movement with and without the ball, dribbling and shooting skills. Meanwhile, the coaches adapt the lessons to the talents and challenges faced by players from different soccer backgrounds and varying technique and ability.
