Artshine Summer Camps help kids build their confidence through imagination and play! Taking place in four locations in Southern Ontario in Kitchener (two venues), Oakville and Waterloo, kids can be creative all summer in these week-long camps that cover many exciting themes, such as comic art, nature, animals and fantastical creatures.

Even when the school year ends, kids still have plenty of energy to create! Through a curriculum that has been created by a team of talented art teachers and artists, these camps nurture the campers’ creativity and talents. As the camps incorporate themes based on the elementary school curriculum, the instructors also provide guidance to the students so they can fully explore their love of the arts.

Artshine Summer Camps (JK to Grade 6)

Artshine’s summer camps run weekly for kids attending Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 6. Not only do the campers get to create art all week, but every camp adds STEM activities to round out their education. For instance, participants draw using 3D pens and drawing bots, have messy fun making slime, play coding challenges, and more! In addition, the campers get outside each day for outdoor activities and fresh air.

Ocean Adventures Summer Camp
A-hoy there, matey! In Artshine’s Ocean Adventures camp, kids sit under palm trees, meet pirates and play with ocean creatures. With their wide range of art supplies, including clay, paint and drawing tools, the campers set sail on a creative adventure.

Playable Art Summer Camp
Campers who love to play games can make their own game, create the playing pieces, and construct a set of dice. Of course, they then have fun playing the new game they’ve created.

Fantasy and Fairy Tales Summer Camp
This camp is a dream come true for kids who love princesses, dragons, and knights in shining armour. Campers explore fantasy characters and fairy tale stories, create fire-breathing dragons and sparkling stallions, and more.

Comic, Superhero & Anime Summer Camp
Look up in the sky! Kids can be superheroes for a week, where they design their own characters, create comic books, and write hero stories. Plus, participants learn about the trendy Japanese art of Anime, and even make their own character.

Woodland Critters Summer Camp
Campers create their own woodland creatures with markers, pastels, and clay, such as bunnies, foxes and birds, and design a perfect habitat for their cuddly critter!

Monsters, Aliens & Space Summer Camp
This camp week is sure to be out of this world! For instance, the campers create amazing monsters and aliens with mixed media. Then, they can design a spectacular world for their creations to live in.

Dinos & Dragons Summer Camp
Explore the world of dinosaurs and dragons! First, the campers dig deep into the prehistoric world of dinosaurs and draw dinos of various sizes. Following this, the kids use their imaginations to make new fantastical dragon designs.

Puppies & Ponies Summer Camp
Kids can have bales of fun on the farm — Giddy up! This week, campers learn about and draw their favourite farm friends, such as ponies, puppies and chickens.
