All aboard the York-Durham Heritage Railway (YDHR), bringing Halloween fun for the whole family! Their Pumpkin Patch & Halloween Train Ride is a classic fall activity, with lots of activities for you and your family to enjoy together, including a maze, wagon rides, special train for the kiddies, and entertainment on board. Even more exciting, the train ride includes a trip to a pumpkin patch, where each family gets their very own pumpkin to take home and remember their exciting outing.
During the celebration, you can also savour the picturesque forests and captivating fall colours from one of YDHR’s vintage trains, starting at the Uxbridge Station and returning an hour later. The train travels through the beautiful Oak Ridges Moraine, an ecologically important landform, which you can view just outside your window between Uxbridge and Stouffville.
Tickets are only $24.99 for adults and $9.99 for kids! So, get into all the thrills and chills with this family-friendly Halloween activity. Feel free to come dressed in your Halloween costumes and snack on food available for purchase on the grounds. Be sure to dress for the weather as this train ride runs rain or shine. Note: there is no onsite parking available, but there is a public parking lot nearby.

About the York-Durham Heritage Railway
The York-Durham Heritage Railway Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of Canadian railways of South-Central Ontario.
On their train trips, you can watch the countryside roll by from their popular open-door baggage car and purchase snacks in their newly acquired 1950s snack car. Regular trips take passengers through the Uxbridge-Stouffville corridor, with a brief stop in the town of Stouffville. YDHR also hosts special meals, family-friendly themed events, and seasonal and holiday train trips, including Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The train is also equipped with a wheelchair-accessible washroom.
