Toronto Outdoor Picture Show (TOPS) — June 22 – August 27
TOPS returns to its four home parks (Fort York, Christie Pits, Corktown Common and Bell Manor Park) with “Another World”, a 21-evening festival programme of performance-themed films. No advance tickets are required and TOPS screenings are free to attend, made possible by charitable donations.
Downtown Yonge BIA: College Park After Hours — June 7 – September 6
Enjoy a variety of free movies through the summer months at the College Park courtyard, including a pre-show musical performance and activities for the entire family.
Toronto Union Station: TD Union Summer Movie Nights — June 26 – August 27
As part of the Union Summer daily events schedule, free movie nights are held outside Toronto’s train station each Tuesday evening, playing Disney films including The Lion King, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi, Tangled and Turning Red.
Lavazza IncluCity Festival — June 27 – July 21
The Lavazza IncluCity Festival turns The Distillery Historic District’s cobblestone streets into an outdoor cinema village in a celebration of multiculturalism and the best in international cinema.
Rosedale BIA: Movies in the Park — June 27 – September 19
Rosedale BIA hosts Movies in the Park running all summer in Ramsden Park, featuring 10 family featured films, plus fresh popcorn and the chance to enter into a draw for the Best Seats in The House!
Regent Park Film Festival: Under the Stars — July 5-22
Regent Park Film Festival shows free films outdoors in July, at Regent Park downtown and Dentonia Park in the East End, with family-friendly games and activities before the film.
Evergreen Brick Works Open-Air Movie Nights — Starting July 5
Patrons vote for the movie to watch, beginning with Turning Red! Grab some eats and treats from the new Snack Shack and Sipping Container and get cozy under the covered Pavilions.
Family Movie Night in the Beach — July 5 – September 16
The Beach BIA hosts free movie Nights in the Beach at Kew Gardens Park every Wednesday night in summer, with family favourites such as PAW Patrol, School of Rock and Night at the Museum. Make sure to get there early for live music, lawn games, and chances to win giveaways.
Leslieville Movie Night in the Park — August 11
Leslieville BIA hosts an outdoor family movie night at Leslie Grove Park, and you can even vote for the movie selection. Choose from Elemental, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Strange World and Lyle Lyle Crocodile.
Movie Night at Monarch Park — September 7
Enjoy free popcorn at a screening of Toronto-set Turning Red at this east side park. BYO blankets and chairs!
Movies on the River — July 7 – September 1
Toronto Adventures hosts movies on the Humber River, right from your boat and surrounded by the river’s scenic plants, water and wildlife! Selections include the water-themed Jaws, Finding Nemo and Lake Placid.
Bloor West Village BIA Movie Night — August 18 – September 8
Free movies are played at Neil McLellan Park, but donations are welcome with proceeds going to the Bloor West Village Food Bank.
Downsview Park Movies Under the Stars — July 11 – August 31
Downsview Park brings their Movies Under the Stars programs back near the lake, showing newer family favourites and a nostalgia night where patrons can vote for their favourite 80s movie.
City of Mississauga: Celebration Square Movie Nights — May 25 – July 27
At Mississauga’s Celebration Square, this year’s free Movie Nights line-up includes many family favourites, from nostalgic throwbacks to blockbuster hits.
