With weeklong sessions throughout the summer months, Belle Wood Equestrian Centre is an amazing place to begin your child’s horseback riding journey, make new friends and get plenty of fresh air and exercise.

Belle Wood focuses on developing well-rounded equine enthusiasts through their expertise and passion for horses, all while making sure the campers have plenty of summer fun! The campers jump into horsemanship in a well-rounded camp program that teaches core horsemanship principles in a fun and safe environment. With each session including a maximum of just 15 students, every rider receives attentive training and personalized care.

Give your kids a Summer to Remember at Belle Wood Summer Camp!

Conveniently located off Highway 7 in the charming hamlet of Greenwood in Pickering, kids can fulfill their dreams of horseback riding at Belle Wood Summer Camp while also spending their school break outdoors and making lots of amazing memories. Ideal for equestrian enthusiasts, campers participate in two riding lessons per day with expert coaches and instructors.

The camp program runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm to give campers a fully immersive experience. Riders are divided into groups based on their current riding level after an assessment lesson on Monday and every exciting camp day is filled with riding lessons taught by Equestrian Canada Certified Licensed Coaches. Whether your child is a first-timer or an accomplished rider, Belle Wood offers programs to fit every horse lover with structured lessons emphasizing safety, horse welfare and rider development.

Belle Wood also believes in teaching students from the ground up, engaging students in horse awareness and horsemanship. Therefore, students learn the importance of connecting with both the horse and all aspects of the sport. Furthermore, kids also participate in various outdoor activities, such as equestrian yoga, equine-related arts and crafts, and cooling off in the Unicorn Water Slip and Slide. They also meet other people who share their love of horses and make new “Barn Besties”! Lastly, at the end of the week, families can see what their kids have learned at the Camp Week Showcase on Friday afternoon.
