This summer, kids in both Toronto and Hamilton can feel the luck of the Irish through language, music, dance, food and sports at Irish Summer Camps 4 Kids! These weeklong summer camps celebrate Irish culture through artistic instruction, outdoor activity, and lots of playtime. Better yet, friends and family get to join the “céilí” (traditional Irish social gathering) on Friday afternoons to end the week with a party to display everything they have learned!
Now with two locations in Toronto, and one in Hamilton, the Irish Summer Camp 4 Kids mother-daughter team of Maureen Mulvey and Colleen Mulvey O’Leary has been teaching kids about all things Irish since 2000. The play-based lessons incorporate both education and fun through the Irish language and Irish historical facts, along with making crafts, playing traditional musical instruments like the tin whistle and fiddle, playing sports, and learning traditional dancing styles.
Kids are Invited to Join the “Craic” at Weeklong Day Camps!
This summer, register your little ones for a week of Irish immersion, filled with creative activities that they will not soon forget! Hailing from Donegal to Dublin and Louth to Leitrim, all of the teachers at Irish Summer Camps 4 Kids are knowledgeable and dedicated to teaching children about the many interesting aspects of Irish culture, including its fascinating history and language.
In these fun-packed days, groups of around 10 kids (based on their age group) move through different activities for 45 minutes each. Mornings and afternoon sessions include two separate activities, with a lunch break in between sessions. Next, there are also two hours of playtime, where children interact with the campers outside of their groups. In addition, during playtime and between classes, campers can learn about the different counties of Ireland, read Irish books, and do puzzles. Then, at the end of every week, they host a concert to showcase all the amazing new skills the children have learned.
So, join Irish Summer Camp 4 Kids to make new friends, get some exercise, and keep the Irish culture alive and well in Toronto and the GTA! Lessons are taught by experienced staff from both Ireland and Canada, who are also certified and trained in CPR & First Aid.
