Power Soccer School of Excellence, Canada’s leading soccer school for kids, hosts their popular Summer Camps in parks across Toronto again this year. These action-packed day camps for players aged 4-15 help kids develop their soccer skills all summer long while also staying active and making new friends! Children in all skill levels are welcome, plus there are both half-day and full-day options available.
Power Soccer Summer Camps provide kids with proven soccer instruction, fresh air and exercise, and plenty of fun. This program provides specific coaching to develop the players’ skills through games and skill-building activities. Campers learn numerous soccer skills, such as ball control, passing for possession, support play, positional sense, movement with and without the ball, dribbling and shooting skills. Furthermore, safety is the top priority so Power Soccer ensures a low player-to-coach ratio, so their licensed and enthusiastic coaches can instruct a fun and dynamic program.
While most of the groups are co-ed, there are also select weeks available at Glendon College for girl-only groups. All skill levels are welcome as the summer camps cater to a variety of skill levels. These range from beginner to intermediate ability, as well as advanced groups. Before and after-care packages can also be added.
Kids Soccer Skills Development
Power Soccer’s methods develop confident players with a positive attitude! In particular, their summer program is a great opportunity for young soccer players to burn some energy, have fun and make some new friends in a positive and challenging soccer environment. These insightful and enjoyable training programs focus on player development, soccer skill activities, tactics and lots of gameplay.
The main focus of the day is around the soccer ball to develop skills and confidence. However, along with the soccer camp activities, camps also include interactive group games. These games help to build relationships between teammates, stay active, have some fun and make new friends.
Group activities make up the basic daily schedule, including strength and agility exercises, warm-ups, skill-building such as defence techniques and individual moves and tricks, passing and shooting drills, ball coordination, plus practice soccer games. These skills, tactics and games develop each player’s confidence while also nurturing a spirit of fair play and enjoyment in the game.

Power Soccer Summer Camps — Schedule
Fundamentals Mini Camp (Ages 4-5)
Introduce your kids to soccer in a fun and rewarding manner which provides recognition for the young player. Soccer skills training also teaches technical ability, agility and balance. The camp is a combination of skill learning and games, with lots of ball contact for each player through ball movement practice, dodge games and fun ball manoeuvring exercises.
Soccer Essentials (Ages 6-7)
Older children are instructed in core soccer skills and good soccer habits through age-appropriate skill exercises and games. As well, they begin to compete in a fun way to achieve success through skill training as well as gameplay. The program also emphasizes coordination and movement in soccer, with skill exercises and small-sided soccer games that make a positive impact on the development of these young players.
Skill Development Program (Ages 8-13)
This skill development program is designed for players to receive specific coaching to develop and refine their skills. Coaches evaluate the players consistently from the first session and challenge players by grouping them with players of similar abilities. This program maximizes the individual’s soccer potential while recognizing that the players come from different soccer backgrounds and vary in technique and ability. Further skills include ball control, passing for possession, support play, positional sense, movement with and without the ball, dribbling and shooting skills.
Girls’ Skill Development (Ages 8-11)
At Glendon College, Power Soccer offers girls-only group options for the 8-9 year and 10-11 year groups. This skill development program is designed for players to receive specific coaching to develop and refine their skills, and maximize the individual’s soccer potential. All Power Soccer programs use creative and challenging games to improve ball control, passing, dribbling, defending and shooting.
Senior Camp (Ages 14-15)
The Senior Camp works on concepts of space, support and movement off the ball. The Power Soccer program again uses creative and challenging games that improve ball control, passing, dribbling, defending and shooting. Moreover, players in this program receive challenging and advanced tactical training, including positional play, support, movement off the ball and transition play.
