Power Soccer School of Excellence Summer Camps lets kids have fun in Toronto’s beautiful parks and sports centres while providing proven soccer instruction, along with plenty of fresh air and exercise! As Canada’s leading soccer school for kids, Power Soccer programs enlist expert coaches to develop the players’ skills through skill-building activities as well as real soccer games.

Start your kids’ summer experience off right by registering them in one of the exciting Power Soccer summer camps so they can get outdoors and stay active! Whether your kids want to join their camps for just one week or the whole summer, Power Soccer summer camp programs mix skill development and fun. There are both half-day and full-day options available for players ages 4-15 and no previous experience is necessary. The camps are open to all players in all skill levels, as there are groups for beginner to advanced players.

These camps focus on skills development and include fun soccer games and activities to keep all participants engaged. Lessons cover the soccer skills to help players improve their game, including ball control, movement with and without the ball, support play, positional sense, passing for possession, and dribbling and shooting skills.

Camp Safety and Code of Conduct

Naturally, the staff at Power Soccer values your child’s safety above everything. There is also a nut-free policy with a senior staff coach leading each camp location for extra attention. Meanwhile, the licensed and enthusiastic coaches instruct a fun and dynamic program. With a low player-to-coach ratio, the staff and coaches can supervise the players at all times.

With a positive and inclusive atmosphere, Power Soccer coaches all players in an environment where everyone is valued and respected. Therefore, all staff and players are expected to be considerate and respectful during camp. This includes showing proper regard for personal and City property, as well as Power Soccer property.

Kids Soccer Skills Development

Power Soccer School of Excellence hosts popular action-packed day camps that help kids aged 4-15 develop their soccer skills all summer long. Plus, kids also stay active and make lots of new friends through their positive teaching methods to develop confident players! In particular, this summer program lets young soccer players burn some energy in a positive and challenging soccer environment.

Of course, the programs are centred around soccer so kids can develop their skills and confidence. The training programs focus on player development, soccer skill activities, tactics and lots of gameplay. Further group activities include strength and agility exercises, warm-ups, passing and shooting drills, defence techniques, individual moves and tricks, ball coordination, and practice soccer games.

Along with soccer activities, camps also include interactive group games, which help teammates mix it up and strengthen relationships. Plus, these games develop each player’s confidence while also nurturing a spirit of fair play and enjoyment.

Power Soccer’s tried and true methods help develop confident players with a positive attitude! The daily schedule keeps players with numerous soccer activities, including:

  • Exercises to build strength, agility, mobility and flexibility
  • Ball warm-ups
  • Passing, shooting and ball control
  • Dribbling, shielding techniques and footwork moves
  • Individual fakes, moves and tricks
  • Skill sessions on defending

Power Soccer Summer Camps — Schedule

Fundamentals Mini Camp (Ages 4-5)
Kids as young as 4-5 are introduced to soccer in a fun and rewarding way and coaches give plenty of positive reinforcement and recognition for the players. Learning soccer skills is great for young kids since it also teaches them agility and balance. This camp trains kids with a combination of skill learning and games. Plus, each player gets lots of ball contact through ball movement practice, dodge games and fun ball manoeuvring exercises.

Soccer Essentials (Ages 6-7)
The next step in the kids’ development is learning core soccer skills and developing good habits through age-appropriate skill exercises and games. Furthermore, they also start to compete and achieve success while still having fun through gameplay. The participants also practise their coordination and movement, plus skill exercises and small-sided soccer games that positively impact their development.

Skill Development Program (Ages 8-13)
This program maximizes the individual’s soccer potential while recognizing that the players come from different soccer backgrounds and vary in technique and ability. Further skills include ball control, passing for possession, support play, positional sense, movement with and without the ball, dribbling and shooting skills. Coaches evaluate the players consistently from the first session and challenge players by grouping them with players of similar abilities.

Senior Camp (Ages 14-15)
The Senior Camp participants receive challenging and advanced tactical training, including positional play, support, movement off the ball and transition play. They also work on concepts of space, support and movement off the ball. The Power Soccer program again uses creative and challenging games that improve ball control, passing, dribbling, defending and shooting.

What to Bring/Wear:

  • Nut-free snacks and a packed “litter-less” lunch
  • Refillable water bottle and cold drinks
  • Sunscreen and cap
  • Shin guards and either cleats or outdoor running shoes
  • Rain gear, in case of inclement weather

Multiple Program/Family Discounts:
A 10% discount applies to an extra program registration of the same player or a sibling of that player. The discount applies when both players are registered at the same time. The program with the highest fee is excluded from the discount when registering for programs with different fees. Players receive a complimentary Power Pack, for their first camp session only.

After-Hours Care:
Both morning and afternoon after-hours care programs are available for families requiring extra care outside camp hours.
