Toronto-based Chinese calligraphy artist Katherina Kwan hosts the free “Song of Life” exhibition of nearly 100 pieces of her latest works at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Scarborough. Works on display span a range from simple sketches to a complex thousand character work, and from works of modest size to 12-foot compositions.
Running throughout the show is a hands-on workshop where you can also pick up a brush yourself! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never touched a brush or can neither speak nor write Chinese. Experienced calligraphy colleagues are on hand to ensure what you take home will look impressive.
